Nancy and Michael
After the death of their Mother and Father, Nancy and Michael were left to be brought up by their older brothers and sisters. Unfortunately they were heavily involved into making the very strong home brew.
Consequently, Nancy and Michael survived on this brew more than food. Both of them, in an effort to relieve the hunger pains, would wander the streets like dogs, in search for anything that looked like food.
When they arrived at the Orphanage they were in a most desperate condition. Death was not far from them. We had the most difficult time in bringing them up to the health they enjoy today. But as you can see, they are very happy and grateful for their new life.
Lilly and Pamela
Lilly is a 15 years old young girl who was being cared for by her father, as her mother had died. Lilly was raped by her father who was HIV positive. Lilly ran away when she found out she was pregnant and her father threatened to kill her and the baby. She ended up in remand prison because the authorities had no where to put her. Lily came to us 8 months pregnant. She now has a very happy, healthy baby and is being assisted to care for her baby, while still attending school. As a result of the rape, Lilly is HIV positive and we are waiting until her baby is old enough to find out whether the baby is as well. Lilly receives all the love, care and nutritional meals to ensure that she stays well and healthy.
Jasmine and Bradley
Jasmine was 4 days old when she arrived at the Orphanage. The authorities contacted the orphanage after Jasmine was found being strangled by a group of women in a cemetery. When she first came here Jasmine was a weak, malnourished baby with breathing difficulties. Jasmine is now 4 months old, happy, healthy and developing well.
Bradley was abandoned in the hospital by his mother. He stayed in the hospital for 2 weeks and was extremely unwell. He is now a healthy 4 month old baby.

Rhianna
The authorities contacted the orphanage and requested us to care for Rhianna and her 2 week old baby, Kelly. The orphanage was full at the time, but agreed to provide a temporary home. Rhianna was living with cousins who would not care for both Rhianna and her baby. The authorities took so long to find an alternative, that the orphanage is now their home. It is now 3 months later and Rhianna is part of the family. The carers look after Kelly, while Rhianna attends school. Both Rhianna and Kelly are doing extremely well.

Rose
Rose was a 9 year old girl who was being cared for by her 17 year old sister. Her sister was caring for 4 children and could not manage. When the sister contacted the orphanage, Rose was extremely thin and had a persistent cough. It turned out that Rose had TB. Over 2 years and many hospital visits, Rose managed to recover. She is now 11 years old and a very clever girl. She does not have TB anymore, but still needs to be monitored. The orphanage makes sure she eats nutritious meals and gets enough rest when necessary.
Carla
Carla was a new born baby that was abandoned at a train station. She was found by a Good Samaritan and taken to the Police Station.
She was then taken to the Hospital and stayed there for a month before the orphanage was contacted. Carla is now 7 months old and one of the healthiest babies here.
